Two photos from SeaWorld’s Shark Encounter exhibit taken 3 years apart. My, how the boy has grown!
Second shot is so much better thanks to the low-light performance of the Canon 5D Mark II. The original was taken with a Canon Digital Rebel XT. I used the same lens on both shots (Canon EF 17-40mm F/4 L USM).
1st Shot: 1600 ISO 1/60 Exposure
2nd Shot: 3200 ISO 1/8 Exposure
The boy has improved his drifting skills so he wanted me to make another video. This time, using his new favorite song: Session, by Linkin Park.
That's exactly what he said to get my attention, LOL.

We both really wanted to go on the Grizzly River Run at California Adventure, but I didn't want to get my Canon 5D Mark II wet. Luckily the boy bought Cotton Candy earlier so I kept the bag and put the camera in it...reversed out to keep the stickies away! Aside from my arm getting in most of the pics, I think it worked out well.

Kids have been playing with their Nintendos non-stop all weekend long. Glad they finally are doing something that requires some creative and different mental challenges.
Well, he had to be a passenger on one track, but he was pretty excited to drive on his own on the "slick track" which he did 4 times. Look at the size of those spoilers O_o
The girls were wrestling each other with their feet while plaing Nintendo on the couch this morning. This would have been even funnier if they were actually battling each other with their Nintendos, but they were playing independently.

Caitlin has been reading a lot lately. She just woke up about 2 minutes ago and already has herself buried behind a book. Reminds me of my sister growing up. Judy Blume books have been all the rage in our household the past few weeks, for all of the kids.

I got tired of hearing "I'm bored" and "Can I play Nintendo?" so I took out their old Taekwondo gear and had them break boards and spar a little. The boy wanted in on the action too, but I didn't want him to hurt the girls so I sparred with him for a little bit. He can still manage a good axe kick without much practice the past few years.
I want to get them all back into some kind of martial arts.
