Hello World!

Just another day at the office. FMX stunts in front of @oakley Interplanetary Headquarters. #lovemyjob

Cool to see this type of thing going on in the middle of a work day. These pro riders are warming up for an event/screening that's going on tonight.

I love my job.

Shameless self promotion: Proud to be included again in 2nd Edition of Designing A Digital Portfolio.

Back in 2003 I was contacted by author, Cynthia Baron to have my old portfolio site included in her book, Designing A Digital Portfolio. 6 years later, the second edition is out and she has included the updated version of my site again with a pretty nice and in-depth (and accurate) writeup. I’m pleasantly surprised at some of the insight she had without some of the topics being discussed in the interview.

I just received my complimentary copy in the mail today so here are a few shots of my pages. Sorry for the fuzzy iPhone pics.

Typical web team lunch. Everyone is doing something on their smart phones. Nerds.

Everyone is checking out their mobile apps after lunch...even me, since i took the pic. Well, everyone except @charique who's phone looks like its from the 90's.

Irony is, this isn't even the technical bunch

Tank & Command Bunker: The view leaving the office tonight.

Seeing sights like this every day is inspirational...just wish the iPhone camera could have captured the cloud detail. I love my job.

Oakley Magnesium Four S from OakleyVault.com - Perfectly kid-sized.

I’ve been looking and waiting for smaller-sized Oakley’s to get back into the Employee Store pretty much ever since I started working at Oakley back in July of 2006.

Needlesstosay, the Fives XS have never been re-stocked, but I was thrilled to see these Mag 4’s come up on OakleyVault.com recently so I bought three of them for my kids. Just in time too. I think we sold out of them pretty fast. We had several hundred, but they all went within the first few hours of being up. It’s good to have the inside track, hehe.

On our way to the web mgmt team offsite meeting.

We rented a van. Sara is driving. If we don't die on our way there we might die when we do our team building activity...what ever could it be?!?

Oakley Design Inspiration: Art Installation at the office

Bad iPhone pics here, but these are a bunch of trains created by several members of our Apparel Design Team as part of an inspiration project while they were working on a season line. Apparently, there are a lot more than what went up on the wall.

I'm going to need to bring my 5D Mark II tomorrow to take better pics.

Love my job.

*EDIT*
Better pics taken with my 5D Mark II have been uploaded to Flickr.
